Help Shape Our Future – Join the Town Council

Are you passionate about making a difference in our town? Consider running for a seat on the Town Council. As a member, you’ll help guide important decisions that affect local policies, public services, and the future of our community. Whether you’re a long-time resident or a new voice with fresh ideas, your perspective matters. Step up, get involved, and be a part of shaping the direction of our town.

Town Council Meetings

Seven (7) total members. By charter there can be no more than five (5) members of the same party.

The Town Council meets on the first and third Monday each month at 7 pm. Each member will also serve on either the Finance Committee or the Steering Committee 

Finance Committee

Meets the 2nd Monday of each month at 7pm

Steering Committee

Meets the 4th Monday of each month at 7pm

Board of Education Meetings

Seven (7) total members. By charter there can be no more than four (4) members of the same party.

The Board of Ed meets on the second and fourth Thursdays each month at 7 pm. Each member will also serve on a variety of committees.

Run for Board of Education

Help shape the future of our schools and support student success by running for a seat on the Board of Education. Board members play a critical role in setting educational policies, overseeing budgets, and ensuring all students have access to high-quality learning opportunities. If you care deeply about public education and want to make a meaningful impact, now is the time to get involved.

Meets the 2nd Thursday of each month at 6pm

Transportation Committee

Meeting are generally over the summer month, and in the early months of the start of the school year

Policy Committee

Meets when legislative changes are made, or a Member requests policy review

Other Committees As Assigned

This includes Planning and Evaluation, Residency, Grievance, Expulsion, and Union Negotiations

Volunteers wanted! We need high energy, passionate people to assist the committee in every election! This is an election year, and there will be many roles to fill: from door-knocking to mailers, to media to phone banking; your talents will be appreciated and put to the test.
