Below is your guide for applying for an obtaining an absentee ballot, and election day info!


Early voting begins October 20, 2025, and will run up to November 2, 2025

Ballots become available October 3, 2025

What to Expect

There are various reason one would need to vote early - these reason include:

  • Active service in the U.S Armed Forces

  • Absence from town of residence during all hours of voting

  • Sickness

  • Religious tenets that forbid secular activity on the day of the primary, election, or referendum

  • Duties as a primary, election, or referendum official at a polling place other than one's own during all hours of voting

  • Physical disability

How to Apply

There are 2 ways to apply:

2. Follow this LINK to the CT Secretary of State to complete the application process

Next Steps

Once your application is complete you'll need to bring in or mail the physical application form to Coventry Towns Clerks office.

They will then send you your absentee ballot.

Election Day

Polls open at 6am on Tuesday November 4, 2025, and will close at 8pm.  
Voting is now done at the Capt. Nathan Hale Middle School and Coventry High School complex in the Hurlock and "Old" gym.
